It’s One Room Challenge Reveal day!!! You guys, we are so excited to show you these photos. We feel all the things, proud of the hard work and the end result, honored to participate in a challenge that has brought us joy and inspiration over the years, and nervous excitement to see what you think.
First of all, thank you to Linda for putting this event on season after season. It’s such an inspiring community, and we have had such fun joining in this season. You can see everyone’s reveals, hundreds of projects, over on the One Room Challenge blog.

Can we just take a moment to remember what this kitchen looked like 8 weeks ago??
The kitchen used to be so dark, which made it feel smaller than it was. Removing the upper cabinets and adding windows really opened up the space.
The marble is definitely a wow moment in the kitchen.
The details in this kitchen. Billy purchased brass rods, turned them down, and made the hardware for the kitchen cabinets.
You make it look easy Billy.
The coffee corner is a great example of creating a more functional space. The refrigerator used to sit right in this corner, so adding a faucet for filling the coffee pot in the morning was pretty straightforward with the existing water line. The shelf with coffee mugs keeps all the necessary items together. No crossing the kitchen for that one missing piece.
Billy designed and made the corbels for the island. They didn’t end up being necessary for stabilizing the countertops, but they add a beautiful detail.
We love how the wood shelves, the wood trim on the range hood, and window sills accentuate the horizontal lines in the kitchen.
We have so much to celebrate this month. Our business is one year old, this kitchen renovation turned out so well, and we are safe and healthy in a crazy uncertain time in history.
We are so thankful to have you following along with us.

wow what a transformation!! i had to go back and forth a few times to see the before kitchen and still be like WOW!!! so smart of removing some uppers and let those two windows really shine and we all love floating shelves + display art! those pendants are fantastic in scale and color … and love that you have tied the black accent to accessories and that sink!! beautifully done!
CollectedLivingDesign says
Thanks Tim! Love that you took in all those details we obsessed over during the design phase. And we are firmly in the “no uppers” camp when it works for the kitchen layout and scale.

I could write a book about all the things I love about this kitchen so I’ll just say that I’ve been brainstorming forever about the light fixtures that I want to add to my morning room and those two gray pendants over the island have finally given me a direction to go!
CollectedLivingDesign says
Wow Lindsey, thank you! We put so much into this kitchen, it’s so amazing to know that you appreciate the design. Thank you!
Brenda says
Wow. This kitchen is beautiful but it looks like a workhorse too. Removing the uppers, adding the windows, and choosing the marble are what I notice first. Wow.
CollectedLivingDesign says
Thank you Brenda! We think that those changes made the biggest impact for sure!
