It’s time for a project reveal!! Apartment design in Kansas City is on the rise, as more and more people are making the move to live downtown. This is my second time designing a space in the Two Light building, (see the other Two Light apartment space), this time with a glam monochromatic vibe.

Mixing metals adds interest and warmth that would be lacking if we had gone with all chrome. The side tables, bar stools, and bar cart add just the right balance to the rest of the metals in the space.
Tips for Apartment Design
Tip 1: Make sure you measure! Some apartments are smaller than others. Retailers are making “apartment size” furniture with that in mind. Don’t order a 110″ sectional without making sure you really have the space.
Tip 2: Art is your friend. A lot of buildings don’t let you paint the walls, so art is a way to bring your personality into the space. Make sure you buy pieces that are big enough, too many small pieces make an already small space feel cluttered.
Tip 3: Bring in lamps. Lighting in apartments can be harsh and unflattering. If you can’t change out the light bulbs, bring in a lot of lamps to use instead of the overheads.
