Frequently asked questions about hiring a designer for a new construction home:

1. Do you work with any builder? Yes we do!
2. When should we contact you to start a conversation? Before you even have floor plans if possible! But… like they say, better late than never.
3. Does hiring Collected Living as my designer add value to my new home? Absolutely, 100% yes!!! Why? We have a strong passion to stay away from the trends that will make your house look outdated in 5, 10, even 15 years. We also give your home that “a designer was here” look, which adds value to your home. Your home won’t be a mis-matched mess or a gray abyss… and that definitely adds value! (Ask your realtor friends, they will tell you the same thing!) 🙂
4. How much does it cost to hire you? Do you charge hourly? The cost of our design services for new construction homes fluctuates base on the size of the home, budget, and timeline. On average it typically falls into approximately 2-3% of the cost of the home - but you can expect fees to start at $35,000 and up. We do not charge hourly and you will know up front the scope of the project and your total investment amount.
