Have you ever done a Favorite Things Exchange? Typically it goes like this: you go to a party, bring 2 of your favorite thing to give away, and you get to take home someone else’s favorite thing from 2 of your friends. Sometimes they have a theme, like favorite cleaning supply or favorite beauty product. Typically, the spending limit is $10 or less. It’s really fun to see what other people consider their “favorite” thing, and a great way to find out about products you might not be familiar with. When I found out about the Favorite Things Blogger Exchange some blogger friends were organizing, I immediately signed up. There was no theme for this exchange, the item (or items) just had to be less than $10. There were bloggers from all over the country participating, so it was a great way to meet new people and find out what products they love!
MY FAVORITE THINGS
Part of the fun of the exchange is getting to share these bloggers and products with you! But first let me share what MY favorite things were for this exchange. I’m not always great about picking out a favorite, but then I got my HGTV magazine in the mail and I knew what I was going to send.
HGTV MAGAZINE
The day I get my HGTV magazine in the mail is one of my favorite days of the month! I get so many great ideas from this magazine. I love seeing inside other people’s homes (in a not creepy way…), I love reading about the DIY projects they share, and I really love the Hi/Low feature. I seriously read every word and have most of my issues stored away because I can’t bring myself to throw them out.
CALLIGRAPHY PEN
I also sent a calligraphy pen. I just recently purchased one for myself and I’m having a lot of fun with it! I’ve watched a few videos on skillshare.com about hand lettering, and while I can’t say that I’m very good yet, having one just makes writing anything more fun!

Now I’ll show you what I received from other bloggers! The first package I received was from Sara of Crazy Cozads. She sent a gift just for me, and a gift I could enjoy with my kids! So sweet.
WATER BALLOONS
Have you seen these water balloon fillers? They are AMAZING. It literally took seconds to fill 100 balloons. It didn’t take much longer for us to use them all, so much fun! It was such a great activity for my girls and I to share with family. We used the balloons as part of my daughter’s second birthday celebration, and nana, aunts, and cousins got in on the fun. My youngest stood next to the container and methodically threw them on the ground, ha!
FACIAL MASK
I will save you from seeing a picture of me in a face mask. You’re welcome. The last few times I’ve been in Sephora I’ve eyed their selection of facial masks, but just never picked one up. This one was an actual little mask covered in protect versus a clay that you spread on your face. It stayed put and felt amazing! Thank you for sharing your favorite things with me Sara!
GOODY BAG
I also received a package from Stefanie, she blogs at www.lexieloolilyliamdylantoo.com, and she sent me an assortment of good things and cute bag to keep them in! She shares my love of cute office supplies, and sent me notepads, pens, and the cutest pencils! She also sent EOS lip balm, which I had never tried before but see everyone using. She also sent her favorite eyeliner by Elf. Thank you Stefanie for sharing your favorite things!!
