I’m really excited about a new series I’m putting together for you guys! I have been doing so much shopping lately, for clients, for myself, and I find so many amazing pieces! I have a special board on Pinterest that I save them to, knowing that I don’t have a spot for them right now, but I don’t want to forget about them. I’ve got so many things saved now that I can start grouping them into categories, which makes it easier to share them with you. So let’s call this series Five on Friday, and this week I’m highlighting art!
Five on Friday: Art
Art can be tricky to find, for both myself and for my clients, because it’s so personal. You might really hate every piece that I share today, and that’s ok! Even if it’s not something that speaks to you, I hope that you’ll check out where the piece is from. I have nothing against mass produced art per se, but I think you can find more inspiring pieces (often at similar price points) if you just know where to look.
So here are some pieces I really love, and really wish I had a home for. You’ll also notice the wide range of styles I’m attracted to!
- Coolidge Street – I love yellow houses, and something about this piece is really striking to me!
- Sunlight Through the Crepe Myrtles – I love how this artist captured the sunlight coming through the trees!
- Undertow – blue, white, and gold. Perfect color combo for me.
- The Island – this piece is so soothing. I love how it captures my attention, while the colors are so muted.
- Fashion Fresh – You know I love blue and white ceramics, and the yellow flowers pop so well!

What do you think of my picks? These pieces come in a variety of sizes and price points, and I really hope that you find one you like, or that the retailers who carry them will be a good place for you to find the perfect art for your home.
