Rugs add so much to a room. Texture, color, pattern. I’m even a fan of rugs in a carpeted room as long as the pile of the carpet isn’t too high. A rug is just one more way to customize your space and make it interesting. Like most decor pieces, it’s also an opportunity to go neutral or go bold. Today, I’m sharing some favorite statement rugs that really take your space to the next level.
Five on Friday: Statement Rugs
I’ve seen this new Threshold rug floating around the internet and really wish I had a room to put it in. The soft blush pink is so sophisticated paired with grey. Obviously this rug would be great in a little girls room, but I like to think outside that nursery box with this one. Imagine it in an office with brown leather, a bathroom with with white and gold, or a bedroom with walls the same shade of blue as in the rug. It looks like this rug is on sale (bonus!), and sometimes Target waits to restock until after the sale is over. So if you love this rug as much as I do but need a different size, keep checking back!

I love vintage and vintage inspired rugs, and these next few definitely fit statement rug in that category. Vintage rugs have a timelessness to them, the patterns and colors are just as relevant today as they were when they were new. Etsy is a great source for vintage rugs. It just takes a little patience to find the color, size and price that fits your space. How gorgeous is this vintage rug?
Sometimes you just need a more standard size, and my favorite place to shop vintage inspired rugs is Caitlin Wilson. Love the shades of blue in this one, and she also does some really gorgeous corals.
If you’re looking for a more budget friendly option, I highly recommend these Nuloom rugs. I have this one in my bedroom and a grey one in my living room, and I love how they add color and interest to the room. I’m very happy with the quality too.
Need a statement rug that goes with anything? Try a bold stripe.
Enjoy your weekend!
