A few months ago I took a class to learn how to use Adobe Illustrator. The class was designed to teach students to create their own invitations, blog graphics, and printables. In other words, it was the perfect class for me. I had been interested in the idea of making my own art digitally for a while, but knew there was no way I could figure it out on my own. I know there is a ton more I could learn in Illustrator, but I’d like to improve upon the skills that I do have. As with any skill, practice makes perfect. In order to ensure that I’m practicing, I thought it would be fun to create a free printable series for you!
Free Printable Series
For at least the next month, I will be sharing a printable that I have designed once a week. They will be free for you to download and use in your home if you wish! This print is formatted to be an 8×10, so you can easily print it at home if you have a color printer! Of course the copy that you will download will be free of a watermark. You can expect room themed prints, quotes, and I’m sure lots of florals.
Week One: The Kitchen
Inspiration
Inspiration for this print came from my intention to savor life more. Being at home with small children often lends itself to wishing for the days down the road. When they sleep/eat/dress/play independently. Not only do I not want to rush through my life, I don’t want to rush through theirs either. So I had fun with a little play on words.
