I love seeing what everyone’s picks are for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I follow quite a few fashion/style bloggers and they have great taste and recommendations. Here’s the thing, I keep reading posts about amazing sale items that were priced at $445, now only $219! I get that it’s a great deal, but that price is still not in my budget. Some bloggers are also including an under $50 post, but time again I have clicked on an item that I really liked only to find that I couldn’t justify the price tag. Here are a few of my picks from the sale that also work for my budget.
Note: If you don’t know what the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is, let me fill you in. Every summer Nordstrom puts out a brand new fall line and marks it down. The sale runs for several weeks, and people who have a Nordstrom credit or debit card get early access to the sale. After the sale has been going for a while, it opens to the public. One of the downsides of waiting is that a lot of items sell out fast. This sale is highly anticipated and a really great way to update your fall/winter wardrobe. The sale ends on August 8th.
Note 2: The links below are affiliate links, which means that I make a small commission on any items you purchase using one of my links. This doesn’t affect the price that you pay, but it does help keep this blog running!
My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks
Here is how I approached the sale: I searched for anything that came in black. Kidding. Clearly I am loving black right now, but several of these items come in other colors and I love those options too! What actually happened was I searched for items that are on my wish list for fall, and then narrowed my choices by price. These were my favorites:
- Sole Society “Marlow” Structured Dome Satchel – I was really hoping to find a cross body bag in my price range, which didn’t happen, but I really love the architectural lines of this satchel. It looks like a really expensive bag (at least in the photo), but I have no experience with this particular brand, so I can’t speak to it’s quality.
2. Vince Camuto “Pedra” Over the Knee Boots – I am not really quick to jump on trends, but it seems like over the knee boots are going to be around for a while. I’m also just tired of riding boots, they’ve been a thing for a long time. Mine are getting a little worn, and I like that this black pair by Vince has a really low heel. I love heels but they aren’t always the most comfortable for running around with the kids. This pair also comes in a really great grey color, as well as cognac.
3. BP Faux Leather Drawstring Tote – This bag also caught my eye when I was browsing, and I want the cream version too. I’ve seen bloggers post about BP before, it seems like it’s one of Nordstrom’s most affordable brands that is also really popular with blogs that I follow. Make sure you check out the cream version!
4. BP Destroyed Skinny Jeans – Like I said, I’m slow to trends, but I really want some destroyed denim for fall. There weren’t any that I liked in blue denim, but I love this black pair, also by BP. Unfortunately my size sold out about 10 minutes after I put them in my cart (I told you things sell out fast!), but I will be considering these even at full price if they restock my size.
5. Nordstrom “Moonlight” Pajamas – I don’t think that I’ve seen pajamas on any other bloggers list, but I need pajamas! It’s one of those things that sits low on the priority list most of the time, but this sale is a good opportunity to splurge a little. I’ve been buying pajamas occasionally at Target when they have cute styles, but they seem to shrink and only last me about a year. I hope that this set will have better staying power.
What do you think of my picks? Have you been shopping the sale?
