I’ve started thinking about how I want to warm up my home for fall. It’s hard not to, even though it’s still sooo hot outside, when fall is floating around Pinterest and showing up in stores everywhere. Last week I shared some of my favorite fall clothing items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and today I’ve got some of my favorite items from the home decor section that make for an easy transition to fall.
Note: If you don’t know what the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is, let me fill you in. Every summer Nordstrom puts out a brand new fall line and marks it down. The sale runs for several weeks, and people who have a Nordstrom credit or debit card get early access to the sale. After the sale has been going for a while, it opens to the public. One of the downsides of waiting is that a lot of items sell out fast. This sale is highly anticipated and a really great way to update your fall/winter home decor. The sale ends on August 8th.

- Nautica “Fretwork” Pillow – This pillow has 3 things going for it, the gorgeous shade of blue, geometric interest, and a $25 price tag. Win, win, win. I think this pillow will fit in nicely in my living room.
2. Nordstrom at Home Tufted Lace Pompom Pillow – I have a tendency to want pattern on everything. This pillow satisfies my need for something interesting while still being both a neutral and all one color.
3. 10 Strawberry Street “Coupe” Porcelain Bowls – I managed to score 10 Strawberry Street dinner and salad plates at a Habitat ReStore for $1 a piece a few months ago, and I love them. So clean and classic, white dinnerware really lets the food shine. We seem to have broken a lot of bowls recently, so I was thrilled to see that these bowls were part of the Anniversary Sale.
4. Waterworks Studio “Luna” White Marble Tray – This tray caught my eye, and I think it could be used in about any room in the house. In the kitchen to serve appetizers, in the bathroom to organize toiletries, or in the living room to corral favorite mementos for display.
5. Rizzy Home Cable Knit Cotton Throw – How cozy does this throw look? I like to swap out my lighter summer linens for heavier fabrics in the fall, and I think this cable knit throw would be great in my master bedroom.
6. Linum Home Textiles “Patara” Turkish Pestemal Towel – Can you have too many throws? Or too many stripes? I think not. The Turkish Towel craze is still going strong, and while this might not be very warm for the fall season, I’m not against buying on sale to save for the next season.
7. Nautica “Chatfield” Pillow – I am hunting for new pillows for my living room, so pillows were definitely catching my eye in this sale. I love the pattern and neutral colors on this one.
