We love working in the Two Light Kansas City building downtown, and we love it even more when it’s a client we’ve worked with before. Last year we worked with this client to finish her living room. This summer we got to design a master bedroom for her, and the finished space feels sophisticated, feminine and chic.

Living Room
Let’s start with the living room. When we met with the client, she had a sofa and coffee table that she wanted to keep, but the rest of the space was either empty or had pieces of furniture that were too small for the new apartment.
The client wanted a black and white color palette with pops of blush pink, brass and chrome. Mixing metals is a great way to add interest to a mostly monochromatic design.
A large scale dramatic pillow balances a smaller scale abstract pattern and solids.
Master Bedroom
For the master, we carried the same color palette into the room to keep it cohesive. An upholstered platform bed was important so their dogs could easily join them at night. A softer version of a black and white abstract kept the room from feeling jarring.
