Virtual interior design is actually not a new concept. In fact, we spent about 5 months in 2019 working exclusively with clients online from across the country! We’ve already got a streamlined process in place, and working virtually has some unique benefits too.
How to Work with an Interior Designer Virtually
This video will cover the steps to work with us virtually. In case video isn’t your thing, we will also go over the steps for you below.
Step 1: A 15 minute Phone Call
Tell us about your project, your goals for the space, what you want it to look like, how you want it to feel. We will again go over the process, and each step of working with us. You can ask any questions you might have, and get ready for the next step.
Step 2: A 60 Minute Consultation
We can cover so much ground in 60 minutes! Using zoom, you can give us a tour of your home, showing us the specific room/rooms you’d like help with, and anything that helps us understand your style.
We will discuss your furniture layout, paint colors, ideas for what to put on the wall, and what might be missing from your space.
Maybe that’s all you need, is a an objective outside perspective. We can also tailor the consultation to give you more support. Maybe you need a mood board with specific pieces that we think would finish out your space.
We can also use the consultation as a launching point for full service design. We can talk through your style preferences, how you want your home to function, new builds, renovations, etc., and then create a custom design just for you.
Here are some of the elements we bring into our full service projects:
The initial flat lay that sets the tone for where the finished design is headed.
A to scale drawing showing furniture placement.
A mood board that shows the specific pieces or materials we envision bringing into your home.
We then do all the ordering, receiving, taking care of any damaged product, delivering to your home, placing all furniture, art, window treatments, and accessories.
Your home goes from concept to complete.
